Three things influenced me in becoming a mediator: due to my family I had opportunity to change and live in multiple countries, through the journey of my life I understood that I instinctively strove to create a peaceful sustainable environment and the recognition that the truth is art.
In changing the countries I experienced several forms of integration on my own skin and witnessed how the other expats dealt with it around me. This is how cross cultural mediation became my main research and focus area. In particular, resolving disputes when someone changes the country of living due to career reasons, social reasons or for fulfilment of personal desire, is among my specialized scopes. My personal interest in this is only growing along with the number of resolved cases.

Beside cross cultural mediation I'm passionate about family conflicts, no matter in what field it appears.

What is mediation? It is a voluntary and confidential process in which people in dispute work out an agreement.

What is my role in the mediation process? To introduce people to the art of the truth. We are surrounded with lots of conflicts around us just because the truth isn’t black and white as we often think. The truth has a past, a present, a future, points of view and many layers and angles from objective and subjective perspectives. We mediators help the parties to look at it from the same angle and same time zone.  Focus on improving relationships. Facilitating discussion between parties. Support parties to generate ideas and agreements for the future. Ensure that both parties get the opportunity to speak and listen.
If I needed to describe my role in disputes, then I would call myself a guard of a dam who is constantly controlling the water level in terms of emotions and information flow, who makes research, asking questions from the participants in order to keep the water at a right level and making sure that the water also does not dry out in some extreme crisis situation, preserving the peace.

Mediation can:

  • Reduce levels of stress around a difficult relationships, situation.

  • Improve communication and understanding.

  • Provide a flexible, tailored solution that meets the needs of all involved.
